The thing we like about this site is that it is possible to take the MAXX train all the way from the International airport (PDX) to the site. The MAXX lets off it the end of the road the hotel and fairgrounds are on. Once the MAXX gets to the stop the Fairgrounds is on, get off and walk a block the only direction you can really go (towards the little Hillsboro airport -- you will probably see the planes) and the hotel is right there... the event is right there..... there is an Albertson's grocery on the opposite side of the fairgrounds from the hotel, and in that grocery side location is also a strip mall full of a few decent restaurants including a Baja Fresh (really yummy healthy mexican food). There is also a perfectly nice restaurant and lounge attached to the hotel (restaurant has somewhat limited hours).
